Ever wondered if/how you could finally transform your life? Or wondered what you needed to do in order to turn it around?
Well, in order to do so…
…Here’re the three things that have helped me so far (to go from shy, insecure introvert in 2013 to where I am today… and to keep on going).
- Doing intensive research on motivation and personal development
- Gaining life experience
- Continuing (and enjoying!) this process
In other words—and more precisely—, it’s all about one thing.
Challenging yourself.
Challenging yourself to grow, to contribute, and to become comfortable being uncomfortable. Because that’s where we are alive and fully immersed; when life becomes meaningful all out of a sudden.
Ok, let’s break it down.
1.) Doing intensive research
When I started out on my very own (highly inspiring) journey, I was waaaay to shy to take action immediately. At least, productive action(s). Instead, I read and read and read. Studied, studied, studied—for days and weeks, even months. But finally got into it. In short, PUA. Forced myself to approach women in broad daylight as well as clubs. However, falling flat on my nose for years. Couldn’t see any real results. Then it dawned on me….
2.) Gaining life experience
Living a meaningful life means to be of value to others. As Albert Einstein once said,
Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value.
This changed everything.
It helped to accept the struggle and hardship of life, and to see challenges as huge opportunities to grow. While I resented (and still resent) settling for a dead-end job; I soon found out that these mundane challenges helped me develop my character—as well as my empathy for other people’s daily reality.
Nowadays I work for Vodafone and do my writing thing here; couldn’t be happier if you asked me.
Anyway, what it all comes down to is to already be happy with where you are right now—no matter how *shitty* your life seems to be like. Let me guess; there already is something you’re passionate about.
It can be sports, music, writing, video games, whatever.
Use that passion to transform your life.
On to the last one.
3.) Continuing this process
Now, I’m still amazed where this journey led me so far. Would’ve never imagined I got so far! And yet, it took nearly a decade to go from suicidal back in high school, struggling to make friends, to now being self-reliant (and doing whatever the fuck I want to do). Still not completely there yet, though.
And that’s because it’s all a journey.
Finally, here’s all I gotta say:
Let’s enjoy the journey,
–Mario
