LOW-INFORMATION INPUT

January 8, 2016

Today’s post is about three simple questions.

Quality questions create a quality life. Successful people ask better questions, and as a result, they get better answers.” –Tony Robbins

IF you’re committed to transform your life, you’ll LOVE THIS.

But first, let’s clarify one thing.

What IS “low-information input?”

It’s about getting rid of all the distractions. It’s about making room for what’s important. Some people call it Minimalism; I call it FOCUS.

Instead of getting bombarded with unhelpful messages all day long, here’s a simple approach that will help you get your life back.

Quick exercise:

1. Grab a pen and paper.

2. Write down the following questions.

  • Who do I want to BE(COME)?
  • What do I want to DO?
  • What do I want to HAVE?

3. Now, answer each question TRUTHFULLY.

Take your time and be creative. There’s no right or wrong answer; be honest. Let your mind flow. Whatever comes to mind, write it down! It doesn’t matter how silly it may sound—just write it down (you can strike it out later). Keep on writing. Set a timer for at least five minutes for each question.

Next, do this:

From now on, only consume information that’s actionable and in alignment with your “Be, Do, and Have answers” … Think. Can you IMMEDIATELY use the information you’re learning right now (or only in a year or two)?!?

On top, stay away from toxic people who’re constantly talking about what’s wrong with the world. (In my case, this included family members as well as good old friends.) If you can’t completely get away from them … at least, limit the time you spend with them. Also, avoid listening or watching the news. (If it’s not affecting my life directly, I don’t pay attention at all.) This includes gossip blogs, reality tv, …

In short, limit your exposure to places and people who limit your personal growth. Don’t waste your precious time on them.

You can lose money. You can lose friends. You can lose direction. You can even squander your health…

…At any time, you can gain it back.

You can start a business or study another subject. You can go out and meet new people. You can ask for guidance. You can exercise daily and eat healthier. You can become more confident. You can do so much …

But.

There’s only one thing you can’t reverse:

Time

Time is the only thing we can’t get more of.

Everyone has 24 hours in a day.

And—from the moment you were born—your time is running out.

Remember that.

Your time is running… use it wisely,
