3 Maxims from My Career in Sales

Though my career in sales hasn’t been long so far (exactly six months from Mar 2014 till Aug 2014)…

…these maxims STILL hold true today.

So, it doesn’t matter where you are or what kind of work you’re doing right now … these 3 maxims will work for you—if you apply them.

Here they are*:

(*Worded exactly as I’d written ’em down on a flyer of my then-MLM company back in 2014.)

  1. I like people and am interested in getting to know them.
  2. I lead the conversation to a topic which is interesting for me as well as my interlocutor.
  3. I use my big strength for having value in my statements and being short and direct.
  4. BONUS: Listening more than talk!

NOTE: I keep on working on these maxims consistently, because it’s still a long way to go. Plus, you can always get better at whatever you’re doing.

At least, that’s what I believe.
