You Enjoyed Halloween? [IRONY]

November 1, 2016

You like Halloween?

Nah, me neither.

For me it’s all the same … name it what you want:

Halloween, carnival, random parties, [insert your fav].

What it is I hate MOST about it all?

Two words: Exaggerated happiness.

With an emphasis on “exaggerated.”

Urgh!

Don’t get me wrong. I’m all about you developing a more positive outlook on life itself, and being grateful for where you are right now. And some more. But…

…Most people don’t give themselves permission to be that way. They only act happy when they are told to.

That’s what these events are all about. Right?

They give you permission to be yourself (drunken, intoxicated … does it count?) without getting judged by others (okay, they can’t jugde no more).

So why not behave that way all year long (instead of just 1-2 days a year)?

I simply don’t get it.

I understand it psychologically; but I don’t get it intellectually.

It’s such a waste of your life, if you constantly wait for the approval of others/society. Wasting your true potential, instead of fully unleashing it.

If you noticed it or not, that’s what you’re doing—every single day.

Anyway if you want to stop waiting for permission from others, then give it to yourself—TODAY.

Tell yourself that you have the permission to do the things that are most meaningful TO YOU. That’s all you need to do. Why?

Because you can.

I believe in you.
