Ok, I admit it.
I believed in LOA (i.e. the Law of Attraction).
Simply stated, “like attracts like” and “by focusing on positive or negative thoughts you bring positive or negative experiences into your life.”
That’s the ‘law’ in a nutshell; not my personal opinion—anymore.
Well, when you’re desperate, broke, and unhappy you want to believe in any magic pill. Right?
So did I.
That was back in early 2014.
A LOT of stuff actually happened during that period: Joined a MLM biz opp; nearly got screwed by yet another scam; falling in love with “The Secret,” law of attraction stuff; and some more.
In short, I was immature and didn’t take full—scratch that—ANY responsibility for my life.
Lesson learned: If it sounds too good to be true, it most definitely IS.
Without LOA now, this doesn’t mean life is meaningless.
Far from it.
There is a higher power all around us; a more meaningful life can be lived, here AND now.
So all I can tell you today to end this post skillfully, is this:
Focus on the things you can control, and embrace the things you can’t.
