(NOTE: I said investing, not spending. Read on.)
No idea how to invest that green stuff?
Making good use of your moolah?
Your hard-earned money?
Conventional wisdom recommends:
- You buy a car.
- You buy a house.
- You buy stocks.
- You buy real estate.
- You start your own business.
- You put your money in your retirement fund.
- You gamble.
- You drink it away—and piss it up the wall.
(Most of it on credit, of course.)
That’s NOT what I recommend you do.
Quite the contrary.
But—at the end of the day—it’s up to you.
You decide.
For me, there’s only ONE viable option.
If you want to invest your money intelligently, this is the best way I know.
It’s this:
You invest in…
…YOURSELF.
Ta-dah!
That means personal development/growth, as well as skill development/mastery.
But why? Because the only thing that’s standing in your way to reach the next level in ANY of the seven areas of your life (your relationships, health, wealth, career, productivity, education, and spirituality) is YOU.
Not some mysterious, invincible obstacle or bad luck.
No excuses.
Of course, there are things we can’t control. But, by developing and growing yourself (as well as mastering the skills you need) STRATEGICALLY, you’ll 10x your chances to succeed long-term.
Because you start “becoming bigger than your problems” as bestselling author Robert Kiyosaki (“Rich Dad Poor Dad”) puts it so perfectly.
Now before you start spamming us about “well, how do I do that??”, let me give you the HOW—right here right now.
Pay close attention.
Here are some ideas (To this day, I STILL do ’em all):
- Attend personal development seminars.
- Read books/biographies of successful people.
- Listen to audiobooks, or inspirational podcasts like The Highly Inspiring Journey with Mario M. Montreal (blatant self-promo).
- Watch motivational videos on YouTube.
- Get coaching/mentorship/support group.
- Make new connections.
- Get guidance and advanced monthly training.
- Learn from others online (online courses/webinars/etc).
- And some more.
In short, learn from people who are walking their walk. (And you avoid the ones that are only talking their talk. It’s not always easy to distinguish the two, especially in our modern day-and-age with the Internet where everyone can suddenly become a “celebrity” overnight.)
The easiest way to find these people?
Watch them.
See if you resonate with their style, the way they ACT.
Look at their results. Challenge everything. Primarily, what they say.
Take your time with this.
When you’ve done your research and due diligence AND you want guidance from someone who’s been there done that (and is not only talking the talk but also keeps on walking the walk)…
…You’re ready for the next step.
