Whether You Noticed It, or Not—You’re Wasting Your Most Precious Resource, and It’s Going to Cost You BIG Time

January 5, 2017

First of, it’s NOT money.

NOT material.

NOT energy.

NOT even effort.

It’s time.

Time IS your most precious resource there is and you’ll ever have.

Get this.

(Most people don’t.)

You’ve probably heard it a hundred—no, a THOUSAND—times:

Time is money.

Money is time.

(Or something similar.)”

And yet, we forget it.

Why? Because we don’t see the immediate consequences of our own actions; we don’t see the end result.

What we do, in essence, is focusing on tactics over strategy.

Huge mistake …OUCH!

However, there’s something even more dangerous.

One more thing to consider.

Time is more important than money—WAY more.

Remember:

Time >>> Money

And—while I’m typing this blog post on my laptop, yep, the one you’re reading right now—a few things just popped into my head.

TBH, I tried. I did all I could … but I can’t hold ’em back any longer…

…So here they are.

The seven ways you waste your most precious resource “time” (without ever being aware of it):

  1. We think money is scarce; while time is there for the taking. In reality, however, it’s the exact other way round. Time is scarce; while the opps to make money are abundant.
  2. Checking email and mobile notifications every five minutes—or less than that. Ask yourself, Where would I be if I used this time on money-making opportunities (or high-income priorities)?
  3. You endlessly compare prices for a product you really really want—but you don’t notice how much “time” you lost (even if you made a bargain financially).
  4. Another favorite: Waiting in a queue for hours, because something’s for free. Really? Well, if time isn’t important to you (or you seriously believe you can get back time) … go ahead and get your free stuff. In life, nothing’s completely “free.” Where there’s an upside, there’s always is a downside. Remember that, and act accordingly.
  5. You spend time with people you couldn’t care less for, or—even worse—you let people, who don’t matter, matter. In both cases, you’ll be in a better place by either (a) being alone, on your own OR (b) finding a supportive group of inspiring, uplifting people. In any case, keep trusting yourself.
  6. Something that’s overseen easily; you may do other people’s work before your own work. (Yes, this includes doing your day job …while you secretly want to do your own “thang.”) Here’s the deal: If you ever want to create something out of nothingness, you gotta make it your highest priority. So you must set aside time for that—BEFORE everything and everyone else.
  7. You don’t invest in yourself (=using your hard-earned money). Instead, you try to figure it out yourself (=using your limited time). BEWARE. Big time-waster ahead. Consider this: How much is not paying for valuable advice (on any topic or issue) costing you LONG-TERM? How much? What if you could shorten your learning curve in halve by learning (and getting guidance) from someone who’s been there done that? (Of course, paying for that advice.)

Finally…

Don’t be inconsiderate.

In other words, stop wasting your most precious resource…

…And, instead, start investing what you’ve got (i.e., money/energy/effort) in getting some advanced training for yourself today.
