You Shy Lil Bitch

February 25, 2018

shy

I don’t know why, but we all have a weak side and a strong side. Yet, too many times, we show the world not what we’re made of…

…But what we think we can’t do.

If you stand, for example, in front of an audience and feel terrified…

…Know that that’s ok.

It’s ok to not feel ok.

However, there is a difference between giving your speech to the best of your abilities—or to give up and not even trying. The only way to develop valuable skills (like public speaking and influencing people) is to get over your shyness.

This, of course, doesn’t happen overnight. It happens once you commit yourself to mastery; to the process of putting countless hours into sharpening your skills and not caring about the end result too much. Because the end result—your becoming exceptionally great at something—will happen…

…Once you’re willing to put in the work.

To act in spite of fear.

To be ridiculed by others for trying.

To have all the haters bashing against you.

The list goes on.

What you’ll keep eventually is something far more valuable. Something no one can take away from you; your valuable skills.

So, will you show up as a shy lil bitch (moaning and complaining about how hard it is to move forward, how your past made it impossible for you to progress, [insert another bs excuse here])… or will you act despite being terrified beyond belief and deliver to the best of your current abilities and competencies?

The choice is, as always, yours.

Yours only.

I believe in your greatness,

–Mario
