By listening to people who don’t matter. That is, everyone but yourself.
Harsh—but if you really think about it—true.
As I like to say, You don’t need permission from anybody but yourself to do the things that are most meaningful to you.
Not to anyone else.
No, to you.
And no one knows what that is for you—but you.
The easiest way to rob yourself of epic experiences in life is to listen to the naysayers, pessimists, or small-minded people in general.
Take yesterday, for example.
I attended an amazing meetup event. Ahh, had I listen to the comments! Would have never attended in the first place. Never ever. But I did. Why? Coz I made it a point to not listen to people who have no fucking clue. Or how can you believe that out of 113 attendees, no one would show up. No joke! That was the reason several people didn’t show up—because someone told them in the comments section of the app that the event was lame/that they were all alone.
What the fuck? Honestly….
It’s literally impossible.
Anyway, let’s focus on what we can learn from this (epic) experience.
- Think for yourself
- Be yourself
- Live your life the way you fucking want to.
And some more…
Peace out,
–Mario
