“The Problem with the World Is That the Intelligent People Are Full of Doubts. While the Stupid Ones Are Full of Confidence.”

March 1, 2018

The problem with the world is

Talking about Charles Bukowski the other day (that is, yesterday) got me really curious.

It all reminded of the movie Idiocricy, where “the human population has become morbidly stupid, speaks only low registers of English competently, is profoundly anti-intellectual, and individuals are named after corporate products.”

So the quote, “The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts. While the stupid ones are full of confidence” was astounding to me.

I mean, I’ve heard it couple of times—otherwise, Why should I have included in the mix yesterday?—and it was still weird.

Weird, because it’s unfortunately true.

We see it everywhere we look.

The people who could add real value to the world are downplaying their strengths; while less intelligent, less sophisticated people are taking a stand and getting all the attention for their “profound ideas.”

Fortunately, there is a lesson to learn here.

If most intelligent people are either too afraid to take a stand or—big one!—aren’t willing to invest their time developing the skill of conveying a message in an easy-to-understand way…

…Your chances are significantly high.

You get that?

Do you?

If you’re willing to develop and master the skill of influencing people (in a positive way, I hope)…

…You can literally rule the world.

In other words, it’s easier than ever. Promised.

Why most people don’t?

Because they are not willing to pay the price.

Lots of practice.

Lots of rejections.

Lots of hardship.

Lots of misery.

Lots of setbacks.

I could go on and on….

These are some of the reasons why people don’t follow through.

They don’t embrace the struggle as a learning curve with massive success at the end. They don’t embrace the process. And they definitely don’t enjoy it—the journey.

I do.

That’s why I am going to a public speaking event this evening. Instead of watching TV, playing video games, doing anything else, or reading a book/researching…

…I show up.

You better do as well if you’re serious about your only shot at this life.
