Sure, you might have encountered things where the word “tough” is a total understatement. Or even an insult. Just know that the author (me) of the text you’re reading right now has been through a lot, as well. Now I don’t want applause/praise/pity. Please don’t. All I want is your trust.
I want you to realize that your past does not have to equal your future (…if you’re willing to work hard and will do whatever it takes to turn your life around).
Because you are bigger than your past.
