“B.B.R.”—Best Advice I’ve Ever Got on Success in Life

August 8, 2016

Here’s some of the best advice I’ve ever received on success in life:

(NOTE: I already elaborated on this in The Highly Inspiring Journey group—within the context of one of my earliest mentors celebrating her birthday.)

This time, however, we focus on just this ONE thing.

You ask, What’s “this ONE thing?”

It’s simple (but don’t fool yourself; it’s very profound!):

Belief. Before. Results.”

Read this quote again.

And again.

Most people don’t “get it.”

(Do you?)

Because unfortunately, most people have it backwards; they think they need to have the results first in order to believe in themselves.

Of course, there’s nothing more powerful than success breeding success and—thus—results have to come first, and belief follows suit. Right?

Wrong.

Look…Most people focus on the end result (success), but not the process (that eventually leads to the desired end result).

As a consequence, they BELIEVE they can’t be successful because … Yes, they aren’t successful.

YET.

Here lies the hidden truth.

They aren’t successful YET.

So what can be done?

I suggest you start doing the following THREE (if you haven’t):

  1. Study success: Read books and biographies that are uplifting and inspirational. Plus, only learn from people who have “been there done that” … everything else is a HUGE waste of your time—and time (believe it, or not) IS your most scarce resource. Don’t squander it!
  2. Next, surround yourself with positive people. If you’re already a member of The Highly Inspiring Journey group on Facebook, you can put a big fat arrow down and say, “Check!” You are in good company. Use it.
  3. Visualize your results and act accordingly. More specifically, ask yourself: “How would I show up and behave if i WERE ALREADY successful? How do I show up? How do I walk? Talk? Carry yourself? Do I value my time?”

The last one is the BIG difference.

The majority of people will never take the required action. Most people aren’t willing to do whatever it takes to get what they want. Why?

One word: Fear.

Or, two words: Scared shitless.

I’m now not making fun of others. I was scared shitless, too.

Heck… I still AM today. (It doesn’t go away.)

The difference? Acting in spite of it.

Most fear isn’t real. And if you’re willing to resist your temptation to quit, to give up, to run away, to (do what you normally do when trying to avoid pain) …

…If you’re forcing yourself to conquer your fears AND do it consistently …

…The magic happens.

BAM!

  • Now, you start believing in yourself MORE.
  • You build confidence.
  • You start DOING what successful people do.
  • And, eventually, you start achieving RESULTS.

Always remember,

Belief before results.”

P. S. Speaking of The Highly Inspiring Journey group …

…It’s an exclusive group that I host to keep in touch with open-minded, determined, and uplifting people who are focused on accelerating their personal growth & mastering their lives.

To get into this group, you can join us here:

www.facebook.com/groups/TheHighlyInspiringJourney

We check if people fit the group culture and the overall purpose of the group (mentioned above). What can I say? I enjoy every second I spend with our group and interact with our members—which I do daily.

Most of them are (and have become) dear friends of mine, and there’s nothing that comes even close to being surrounded with the “right” people.

Nothing.
