It’s not popular to say it, but here’s the greatest teacher (and the best motivation) in the world: Pain.
- Pain because you know you’re better than this.
- Pain because you know you could be better than this.
- Pain because you feel you’re not living to your highest potential.
And some more….
Of course, it ain’t all pain ‘n pleasure.
However, I do believe that there’s no bigger motivator than pain.
NOTE: I said “motivator.”
Not inspiration.
Or life purpose.
Or calling.
Should be clear that motivation alone won’t get you far, since taking daily action plus long-term success habits are the way to go. And you got to have a mission/vision/ambition for yourself and your life. Yet motivation remains a key component, nonetheless. Without it, no chance of bettering your current situation. Ever.
Today, for example, I got really mad.
Mad at myself—and even madder at others. Why? Well, I can’t tell you because of confidential matter (also known as “the inside dope”). But what do you do is the real question. Do you let that anger and madness destroy you…
…Or do you use it for good?
After *wasting* some time being angry, I meditated. That’s my way of dealing with it. Maybe it will work for you as well, o not. Can’t promise. Anyway…
I allowed myself to feel the pain, and let it go.
I let myself feel the pain and, again, let it go.
Then, I came back and started writing this post you’re reading right now.
Question now is this.
Will you use pain as a motivator or as a time-waster?
