Deep Thoughts About Who’s My “Target Audience”

Why am I doing all this?

That was a question that came into my mind recently—over and over and over and over again.

For good reason.

Because over the past couple of years I’ve…

  • written countless blog posts/emails
  • shot videos
  • run a podcast
  • thought about hosting meetups (which I now do)
  • thought about hosting seminars (which I’ll do once my public speaking skills are ready to go and use for max impact)

All this without expecting anything in return; money has never been on my mind doing these activities.

I didn’t promote a product that you should buy.

Don’t get commissions.

Don’t do it for fame.

Why then am I doing what I am doing?

Good question.

Though I’ve been asking myself this question—every Sunday for the last, let’s say, roughly 80 Sundays—, What is this damn thing about? …

…I couldn’t come up with any convincing answer, until now. Now I somehow know. I do it because it resonates. The stuff I’m doing resonates with people like you. Chances are you’re where I was.

Just a few years ago, I was completely miserable couldn’t see a way out for myself. I had little (to no) friends, was bullied heavily in high school, felt like an outcast (and actually was one)… I even couldn’t take good care of myself. Let alone others. No wonder I had to endure this unnecessary shit and pain and depressive times.

I write all this right now, here, half-drunken/half-sober.

Let’s make no joke about it.

Sometimes I like to drink myself to the edge; yet nowadays it’s for very different reasons. In the past, it was to get rid of the pain; to enter an alternative reality of Assassin’s Creed and Uncharted and GTA and whatever. Today it’s for me to relax, to have a blast with friends, to be responsible (as silly as this sounds consuming alcohol).

Anyway.
