If you’ve followed me for a while, you know that I’m much more about helping you find out what’s most meaningful, important, and fulfilling TO YOU…
…than just telling you “how to be successful.”
I believe that’s a meaningless goal to have in the first place.
(It’s unspecific, too. For instance, what is success for you?)
Likewise I’m not necessarily pro Donald Trump (especially, on politics!).
To be honest, I couldn’t care less for politicians.
However, Donald is different.
Because he isn’t one of them. He is a builder, at heart.
Love him or hate him, but he’s also great when it comes to business (BTW, if you want to become better at negotiating/master your negotiation skills, I don’t know of anyone more qualified than Donald to study).
Ever read his book Think BIG and Kick Ass in Business and Life?
To quote Nike, Just Do It.
It is, hands-down, an amazing biography full of invaluable insights.
I read it back in 2012 (the German translation), and it changed my life. This book opened my mind and I started questioning conventional wisdom like crazy.
But I’m not a Trump fanboy, by any means.
For instance, I don’t like the way he treats certain people, and hate some of the tactics he uses to get attention (however, who am I to judge anyone? Most of the time, the media coverage is full of shit. That’s a fact).
Ok, before I lose myself (and you) here … Let’s take a look at a rare recording where Donald Trump presented his “10 Rules for Success.”
(You may still find it on YouTube.)
To my mind, it could also be called “10 Rules for Happiness.”
Anyway…
Here are Donald Trump’s 10 Rules for Success:
- Be thorough.
- Get your momentum going, and keep your momentum going.
- Stay focused.
- Look at the solution, not the problem.
- See an opportunity for what it is: an opportunity. Ask yourself, What can I learn today that I didn’t know before? (Be open to new ideas and you’re gonna create your own opportunities.)
- Know everything you can about what you’re doing.
- Be lucky. Remember: The harder I work, the luckier I become. Be passionate. Use frustration as a motivator to get where you wanna go instead of staying where you don’t wanna be. But above all: BE PASSIONATE!
- See yourself as victorious. Problems are challenges, and you know that you’re more capable of dealing with them.
- Be smart. Know how to use the tools that are provided for you/what you’ve got. Success is what you want. Just be successful, believe me, you’ll be happier. Everybody has something unique to offer.
- Never give up. Only losers quit. The biggest losers in the world are quitters. Winners keep on going.
- And remember: Think BIG.
As a side-note, I kept listening to this audio file over and over and over and over again. Still to this day, I try to make some time to have a listen.
Why? Because these principles are—among other things—the foundation for everything else that follows suit.
That’s also why my teachings are—first and foremost—focused on giving you the fundamentals (instead of all the bright shine objects/ninja tactics that come ‘n go like a fard).
Plus, repetition is the mother of skill as Tony Robbins would say.
Which leads us to…YOU.
IF you want to learn (and master) the stuff that’s evergreen, namely the principles/strategies/fundamentals…
IF you’re willing to do whatever it takes, and implement what’s right (not what’s only fun, fun, fun)…
IF you feel ready to kick-ass and finally create a more meaningful life that’s just right for you…
