To kick-off today’s article, let’s re-evaluate if personal development is necessary for achieving MLM success and building a successful MLM business. We all know that Network Marketing offers equal chances for each and everyone, and your income potential is theoretically unlimited.
It’s only limited by one key component: and that’s YOU.

As Darren Hardy said: “You’re the X-Factor.”
What that means is everyone in your company has got the exact same compensation plan, same products, same starting position, … and it doesn’t matter if someone’s from a Third World Country or an Industrial Country, if someone’s born rich or poor, black or white, … everyone is treated equally.
Oftentimes, joining an MLM company happens out of frustration or because someone wants to change and improve his or her life. They see an MLM business as a solution to their current problem(s).
However, in order to change your life and outside circumstances, you first need to change yourself from the inside out. Further, Network Marketing makes you realize your own character flaws and Personal Development helps you become a better person in general.
I’m going this far and say: “You not only need to become a better person to build a successful MLM business, but it’s a must for you to become the best person you can possibly be!” Why? Because you can. And because you need to connect with people effectively and make them like and trust you. And let’s be honest:
You need to become a leader to get paid extraordinarily. Period.
And that’s why Network Marketing and Personal Development is such a great match. Without personal growth, you can’t achieve anything of greatness in life.
Why You Need Daily Personal Development for MLM Success
As we found out, only people who work harder on themselves than on anything else are getting paid extraordinarily – LEADERS.
In order to now become a thought leader, someone who has got all elements essential for MLM success, I’ve written this article for you.
In the following I’m going to share with you the three core phases to become a great leader. Further we’re going to go over the core qualities you have to develop. So, let’s get started!
First and foremost, Take Action NOW!
Make a commitment with yourself that whatever it is you have to do, you have to do it NOW.
And the best thing you can do NOW to finally achieve MLM success is to give it your best to become the best person you could possibly be! Remember life’s a journey and the end of this journey is the person you’ve become and the experiences you’ve made. In the end, nothing else matters.
But that’s not enough, of course. You need to develop a team of thought leaders. And you do this best by providing tons of value: You set goals, provide solutions, give advice, feedback, and guidance, take massive action … If you do that, people want to learn from you how they can become successful themselves! You’ll attract the right kinds of people and build your MLM business successfully.

Before we’re now digging deeper into the core phases and core qualities, here’s one key quality I want to mention now because having or not having this quality is either going to make or brake your business:
It’s Consistency. Consistency is key. You can take a look at all successful people. They all do it: They invest in themselves and their education first and often, they surround themselves with mentors on a regular basis, and – as the saying goes “readers are leaders” – they also read daily. They’ve success habits in place that help them focusing on the things they want and taking the right actions to accomplish what they desire!
And so can you, too. Keep these three words in mind at everything you do – Always Grow Personally.
Make sure that whatever you do, you learn and improve yourself related to your desired outcome; your “WHY”. Me, I’m currently working as a delivery driver besides my business activities. I don’t do this because of the money or because I’ve so much time. I simply do it because I force myself to listen to instructional audio tapes and because I want to improve my work ethic.
So, make sure you’re constantly learning new things to make better decisions based on a new mindset.
Also know that success and failure is merely a result. It’s a result of a series of decisions and actions you took over a sustained period of time in your past that led you where you’re today. In order to shape your future successfully, you need to take new, more successful action today.
In other words, your current situation is what you’ve done on a day-to-day basis until now. It’s a process and not a single event that led to where you are right now.

and Why It’s Inevitable to Have One Without the Other

The basics
- Focus / Clarity (e.g. What’s Your Ideal Outcome, Clarity Is Power, …)
- Ambition (e.g. Strive for Better; Your MLM Business Success Will Always Be in Direct Proportion to Your Personal Growth, …)
- Belief (e.g. Anyone Can Be a Leader, It’s a Mental Decision [Manifested by Your Daily Actions] and a Pretty Damn Good One If You Ask Me, Fake It until You Make It!, Master Yourself, …)

and the three core qualities
- Courage (e.g. How You Handle Challenges; Don’t Run from Them Face Them, …)
- Confidence (e.g. How to Lead Others, Treat Others, …)
- Consistency (e.g. Add Value Regularly, Install Success Habits, Read and Listen Daily to Good Stuff, …)
MLM Success – What you must do:
- Follow the lead of other leaders to become a leader yourself.
- Reverse Engineering: Don’t reinvent the wheel, see what’s already working and do it.
- You’ve something of value to offer and share with the world, so do it and add massive value!
- Personal Development is everything you do to improve yourself. It all comes down to you taking action!
- Hence: Not taking the required action is worthless. You have to act upon your newly gained knowledge (and act upon opportunities fast). Many people read tons of books, listen to audio tapes… but don’t take action at all. What a waste of potential and time! You’ll rather shot yourself in the foot! :)
- Operating an MLM business will reveal your character flaws to you. Why? Because network marketing is all about relationship building, also referred to as a people’s business → most important relationship is the one with yourself because you need to connect with others effectively (and how other perceive you is based largely on how you perceive yourself). That’s why you need to develop yourself on a daily basis. Make sure you learn.
- Change beliefs and take action → change your destiny!
- Your subconscious mind is the driving force and believes everything: Thus, BELIEF ALWAYS COMES BEFORE RESULTS. Always! If you can’t see it in your mind, you can’t achieve it. If you, however, can see it crystal-clear in your mind, you can attain it, as well.

MLM Success – Now it’s your turn!
You’re now equipped with the fundamental stuff you need to learn and do to bring yourself to another level. In order to achieve MLM success and help others, too, bring their businesses to another level your job is to teach what you’ve learnt.
And you can do all these things cyclically. You first learn how to do a specific thing and apply it to your own business and life. As soon as you’re good at it and understood it, you can now go out and teach it to others. That also means that you don’t need to be a master at every skill, yet.
Rather, you’re constantly learning and improving yourself whilst teaching others things that matter.

Building a successful MLM business and achieving top-notch results isn’t a myth; it’s totally possible for you. Acknowledge your highest self, your genius, and embrace your unlimited potential.
Now, go out there (unless you’re about to sleep) and make things happen.
Work on your mindset first, learn what you need to know. But as soon as you got the stuff you need to know, apply your knowledge, and don’t forget to share it later with other people.
